A degree, diploma or certificate obtained when a student graduates from a program. It recognizes the student's successful completion of all the requirements specified in the program, confirming that the standards of the knowledge required are reached. The award document issued by an institution aims to testify that the recipient has successfully completed a particular course of study. The responsibility of the learning institution is to provide the principles it utilizes to deliver its awards, including establishing standards and criteria for the completion of a learning initiative.
