A degree, diploma or certificate obtained when a student graduates from a program. It recognizes the student's successful completion of all the requirements specified in the program, confirming that the standards of the knowledge required are reached. The award document issued by an educational institution, such as a university, aims to testify that the recipient has earned a degree or has successfully completed a particular course of study. An academic award is generally classified by an undergraduate level, which is organized open certificate, diploma and bachelor degree and a postgraduate level, encompassing graduate certificate, graduate diploma, master, and doctoral degree.
