Any instructional event that can be accessed via the Internet or the Web. There are two primary models of Web-based learning:
  • Synchronous and instructor-facilitated
  • Asynchronous, self-directed or self-paced learning (instructor led or not)

The training is delivered via the Internet, intranet/extranet, audio or video tape, satellite TV, and CD-ROM. It can be Instructor-led or Computer Based

  1. Instructor-led Training: a learning event which is led by an instructor , and held in a physical location or delivered via a network (communications can be synchronous or asynchronous).
  2. Computer-Based Training: a training where a computer program provides motivation and feedback in place on a live instructor. It is delivered via CD-ROM, or Internet.:[1]
