A detailed examination including risk assessment, risk evaluation, and risk management undertaken to understand the nature of unwanted negative consequences to individuals, entities, regions or activities.[1] From a programmatic perspective, risk analysis relates to the careful study and assessment of a broad range of factors that are likely to affect the performance of a programme or project and its ability to achieve results. Risk analysis provides programme or project managers with pertinent information which they can use to mitigate the effects of identified risk.[2]
