BULLETIN BOARD SYSTEM (BBS)

System maintained by a host computer for posting information, carrying on discussions on public boards, uploading and downloading files, chatting, sending and receiving e-mails and other online services. Bulleting board systems are created for a specific group of users and are topic-specific.^[1]
