From Learning and training wiki
CHAT ROOM |
Electronic place offered by an online service provider, where individuals can connect by sending typed text to one another in real time. When a person types a message on his/her computer screen, the same message appears on all the chat room participants' screen. The discussion may or may not have a moderator. Chat room can occasionally describe even asynchronous conferencing but, generally, this term denotes technologies such as real-time online chat, instant messaging and online forums.
