COACHING |
One to one relationship that aims to bring individual learning and performance improvement, focusing on achieving predefined objectives within a specific time period, by providing greater focus and awareness of possibilities leading to more effective choices. Coaches recognize that results are a matter of the individual’s intentions, choices and actions and depends on the person being coached to take responsibility. The role of the coach is to create a supportive environment in which to challenge and develop the critical thinking skills, ideas and behaviors of the person being coached, so that he/she might reach a full potential that will serve throughout career and life. This training may include seminars, workshops, and supervised practice. A related term to coaching is mentoring.[1] |
