Term2.png TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET)

Education or training activity oriented to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to perform a job, an occupation, or a professional activity. The technical and Vocational Education and Training refers to deliberate interventions to bring about learning which would make people more productive (or simply adequately productive) in designated areas of activity.

TVET will also apply to other forms of education (which are not unique to TVET), e.g. expert knowledge, skills development, insights and mindsets which are considered to be generally valuable for learners of many areas of economic activity.

The distinctive objective and aim, which sets TVET apart from other forms of education and training, is the “work productivity”, as the only form of education which matters for performance in the workplace (looking on contents, methods and changes that take place within the production and labour world).[1] Vocational training includes apprenticeships, as well as continuing professional development , closely linked to lifelong learning.
