Person with special knowledge or skills in a particular area where he/she has to be both knowledgeable and extremely experienced. In knowledge based system by solving enriched and complicated problems, domain experts display information in a logical fashion so that it can be easily coded into a computer system, facilitating end-users utilization of the KBS systems. Also called Subject Matter Expert (SME).[1]
