SCORM stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. It refers to a set of technical standards that are to be followed while developing e-learning software products. Following these standards while developing an e-learning product will ensure that it is compatible with popular Learning Management Systems such as Moodle. This enables the product to be treated as a digital learning object that can be easily reused to fit other learning contexts.

It is important to keep in mind that SCORM is purely a set of technical standards with no concerns as regards instructional design or pedagogy. [1] [2] See also: Reusable
