| Learning or training experience or environment conducted via a computer network as a primary method of communication and presentation, e.g. using the internet and the World Wide Web, a local area network (LAN), or an intranet. The learners communicate with the instructor through discussion boards and chat rooms as they complete preplanned activities and exercises on their own.
