Term2.png MERIT
The absolute or relative quality of something overall or in regard to a pre-determined criteria. The merit of a given evaluand in relation to a particular criteria is determined by gathering relevant performance data and explicitly ascribing value to it. In other words, this is to establish how meritorious an evaluand is in that specific dimension. The overall merit of an evaluand is determined by synthesizing performance with multiple criteria.[1]
