Term2.png MENTORING
Structured, sustained process for supporting others through learning. It is a one to one learning relationship in which a senior member of an organization is assigned to support the development of a newer or more junior member by sharing knowledge experience and wisdom. Mentoring is normally more directive than coaching, with the mentor coming from a position of experience, authority or knowledge, while coach’s ability is to facilitate and develop personal qualities.
